Depending on the weather, Nokomis Heights will gather in person for worship on Sunday, 9/13, and Sunday, 9/27, at 10am at Pearl Park, Portland Ave. and E Diamond Lake Road, Minneapolis! Look for our setup west of the basketball courts by the rec center.
Worship on the 13th will include Holy Communion, and the worship on the 27th will feature the installation of Pastor Kristen Capel as our Lead Pastor.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at the park will be limited to 100 people, and safety measures such as wearing masks and social distancing will be in place. In order to accommodate these safety protocols, those planning to attend are asked to register. Click on this link to sign up for Sunday, 9/13! (A second link will be posted later for 9/27.)
Attendance Guidelines
- Wear a mask. If you do not have a face mask, the church can provide one for you.
- Bring hand sanitizer. We will have a station available but we encourage you to bring your own.
- Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket. The church will not be furnishing chairs.
- Bring water or snacks if you require them, as no refreshments will be passed out. Please note that bathroom facilities will not be available.
- Distance yourselves from non-family groups. Please try to maintain six feet of distance when possible. Wave and say hello!
Important Notes
- Consider your risk. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms (coughing, fever, shortness of breath, changes in taste or smell, etc.,) please stay home. If you have underlying health conditions and are concerned about proximity to others, please stay home.
- Keep us informed. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 after attending the outdoor worship service, please inform the church office or Pastor Kris immediately.
For those who are not able to attend in person, we will still premiere a video worship recording on those Sundays. And in the case of inclement weather, we will not gather in person.
