“Received from a very special cousin many years ago.”

7-1/2 cups water
3 sticks oleo
5 teaspoons salt
9 cups potato flakes
3 cups powdered milk
About 3-1/2 cups flour
Boil water, add oleo, salt, potato flakes, and powdered milk. Mix well ~ cool a bit. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

To bake on lefse grill, mix 1/2 of mixture to 1-3/4 cups flour. Cut into 16 pieces. Roll on floured board with floured cloth-covered rolling pin. Mix remainder of mixture and 1-3/4 cups flour and repeat. Do not mix till ready to bake each portion. Temp 380° about 2 minutes each side.
