Meat and Tomato Filling:
2 pounds hamburger (or 1 pound hamburger and 1 pound Italian sausage)
1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
1 tablespoon whole basil
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups tomatoes (or 2 cans diced)
1 12-ounce can tomato paste
Cheese Filling:
3 cups creamy cottage cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon parsley
2 beaten eggs
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 pound Mozzarella cheese
8 ounces lasagna noodles, cooked

Brown hamburger with garlic. Add other ingredients in the tomato and meat filling and simmer for 1/2 hour.

Mix cheese filling ingredients together (set aside the 1 pound mozzarella cheese and noodles).

Layer with mozzarella cheese and noodles in 9×13 pan: 1/2 noodles, 1/2 cheese filling mix, 1/2 mozzarella cheese, 1/2 meat.

Repeat. Bake in 375° oven for 30 minutes or until cheese bubbles. Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
