We are located near Lake Nokomis in the Hale neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Worship is held on Sundays at 10am, and you’re invited to join us any time. Here is some information that might be helpful:
We are a small church with a big heart. Our members are made up of young families with children, seniors, and everyone in between. We infuse traditional liturgy and hymns progressive theology. We worship in two languages: English and Spanish. Music includes everything from organ to piano, guitar, strings, brass, congas, or a pop-up choir. We invite you to participate freely in worship, regardless of your background or beliefs. There are no exceptions! For more information about worship, read here.
That’s okay! Bring your questions, your doubts, your uncertainty or your skepticism. You can ask us anything, or just observe, or become a part of our community regardless of your beliefs. You are always welcome to stop by and try us on for size.
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Whether that’s business casual, yoga pants, or shorts in February, we really do want you to come as you are.
Automatic doors and an elevator are accessible through our lower doors on 10th Avenue. We have assisted listening devices, large-print bulletins, and reading glasses available for worship. Just ask an usher! Headphones connected to a Spanish translator are available for those who’d like to hear the entire worship in Spanish. Is there another way we could make our church more accessible for you? Drop us a note.
Yes, we do!
Baptism proclaims God’s free gift of love for all people, so all people are welcome to be baptized at Nokomis Heights. Getting married?
