Sunday Worship on the Lawn

Join us out front on the church lawn for worship this week, weather permitting. We’re continuing a summer worship series that Pastor Kris helped put together for Camp Wapo—Just Love. Our theme this week is, “Let the Earth Spin,” and Pastor Kris Capel is preaching on what it means to remember the sabbath. Our scripture texts are from Genesis 2:1-4, Exodus 22:8-10, and Mark 2:23-28.

Our musicians this week are Annika Coyle, Johan Christopherson, and Julie Urban, with special guests, Gloria Mitka and Bernice Yates. Laura Morris is our lector.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We will be social distancing by family. Masks are optional—you may choose to wear one, if you wish. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable. Remember, not everyone may be fully vaccinated, including children under 12.

You don’t need to sign up to attend, but you will be asked to sign in when you arrive. This is for contact tracing in the case of a Covid outbreak, so we ask everyone attending to sign in. Worship will include congregational singing (everything will be printed in the bulletin), and we will be serving coffee and donuts after!
