Sunday Worship on the Lawn

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for Sunday worship at 10:00 am outside on the front lawn as we conclude our summer sermon series, “Remember, You Were Strangers.” Pastor Steven Delzer is preaching this week on seeking a homeland, using biblical texts from Hebrews 11 and Revelation 21. We will also be celebrating Holy Communion.

In this last week, we travel again with Abraham and Sarah, and also with the first Christians in that space between our cities and God’s City, in that space between waiting and Welcome, in that space between life and Life. Together, as refugees and immigrants, we hold the tension. We fully acknowledge both the joys and sorrows of our current circumstance, and imagine together the place toward which we journey.

Following worship, you’re invited to stay for coffee and donuts and conversation.

In the case of inclement weather, we will meet for worship in the sanctuary. As COVID is still with us, we are still asking everyone over the age of 2 to wear a mask inside the church building to protect unvaccinated children and other vulnerable populations.
