Sunday Worship on the Lawn
October 31, 2021 / 10:00 am – 11:00 am CDT
This Sunday is our final outdoor worship for the season. You’re invited to bundle up and join us in worshiping our God who is not housed in temples made of stone, but whose spirit moves in and around us wherever two or more are gathered. This Sunday also is both Reformation and Halloween, so put on something red for Reformation—or don a costume if you like! (Kids are encouraged to wear costumes!) Pastor Kristen Capel is preaching, and we will be celebrating Holy Communion.
Worship on the lawn begins at 10:00. Please bring a lawn chair to sit on. We recently purchased patio heaters to help keep worshippers warm—but you may also wish to bring along a blanket! We strongly encourage you to wear a mask even if you have been fully vaccinated. You will be asked to sign in for contact tracing in the case of a Covid outbreak. Worship includes congregational singing (everything is printed in the bulletin). Spanish language bulletins are available.
Following worship, we will be celebrating the completion of our organ project with treats and music. Those who stay will get to hear our newly-refurbished organ played for the first time and have opportunity to celebrate Julie Urban’s 30th anniversary as organist at Nokomis Heights!
