Sunday Worship on the Lawn
October 17, 2021 / 10:00 am – 11:00 am CDT
Join us this Sunday out front on the lawn for installment #5 in our Fences and Wells worship series. This week we’re focusing on the core value of being a radically inclusive church. We welcome Pastor Kelly Chatman from the Center for Leadership and Neighborhood Engagement (CNLE) as our guest preacher. Nokomis Heights has partnered with the CNLE to take a deep look internally at racial injustice in our own community and challenge us on our journey to radical inclusivity.
Worship on the lawn begins at 10:00. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We strongly encourage you to wear a mask even if you have been fully vaccinated. You will be asked to sign in for contact tracing in the case of a Covid outbreak. Worship includes congregational singing (everything is printed in the bulletin). Spanish language bulletins are available.
Following worship, we will be honoring Cindy Nelson who retired this fall from the position of Director of Children’s Ministries, which she held for 40 years. You are invited to stay after worship for coffee and cake and a short program.
