Sunday Worship: Lent 3 / Adoración Dominical: Cuaresma 3

This Sunday we continue our Lenten journey with Peter, under the theme, “Wandering Heart.” This week, the focus is on the phrase praise the mount: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who…announces salvation, who says, “Your God reigns” (Isaiah 52:7). In our gospel lesson, when Jesus asks the disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter says, “You are the Messiah.” Have you ever wondered if his voice faltered when he answered? Did he respond loudly and with confidence, or with a tentative whisper? The text doesn’t provide those details. But we can trust that, no matter how we speak to God, when we speak, God is listening.

Este domingo continuamos nuestro viaje cuaresmal con Pedro, bajo el tema, “Corazón errante”. Esta semana, el enfoque está en la frase alabar al monte: “Cuán hermosos son los pies del mensajero que… anuncia la salvación, que dice: “Tu Dios reina” (Isaías 52:7). En nuestra lección del evangelio, cuando Jesús pregunta a los discípulos: “¿Quién dices que soy yo?” Pedro dice: “Tú eres el Mesías”. ¿Alguna vez te has preguntado si su voz vaciló cuando respondió? ¿Respondió en voz alta y con confianza, o con un susurro tentativo? El texto no proporciona esos detalles. Pero podemos confiar en que, no importa cómo hablemos a Dios, cuando hablamos, Dios está escuchando.
