Sunday Worship: Lent 1

March 6, 2022 / 10:00 am 11:00 am CST

You’re invited to join us at 10:00 am for in-person worship in our sanctuary. It’s the first Sunday in Lent and we’re beginning our worship series based on the Gospel of John, titled “Turning.” John’s Gospel invites us into a season of intentional turning. Our hearts turn with compassion for those who grieve. Our lives turn toward our neighbor in acts of solidarity and service. Our eyes turn toward the cross, and we see Jesus turning the world upside with love.

Pastor Kelly Chatman from the Center for Leadership and Neighborhood Engagement (CLNE) is our guest preacher this week. He will be preaching on John 11:1-41—the raising of Lazarus. We also will be celebrating Holy Communion.

Even though the city’s mask mandate has been lifted, we ask that everyone over the age of 2 to wear a mask to protect unvaccinated children and other vulnerable populations. KN95 masks are available for those who don’t have them. Social distancing is encouraged, and we ask you to sign in, for contact tracing.
