Jeremy Schroeder, Minneapolis City Council Representative for Ward 11 will be speaking at Sunday Forum on the state of our neighborhood and our city—what’s going well and what issues he’s most concerned about. We have invited him to share ways he feels engaged citizens can make a difference in the city and in the neighborhood.

Ward 11 is located in the South Central part of Minneapolis and includes 9 neighborhoods: Tangletown, Field, Page, Hale, Northrop, Diamond Lake, Wenonah, Windom, and Keewaydin. Nokomis Heights and many of its members live within the ward. Several challenges/issues face this part of the city, including airport noise, traffic speeds, highway construction, public safety, and property taxes. Council member Schroeder will share with us his work our behalf and answer questions.

Before his election to the City Council in 2017, Jeremy served as Policy Director of the Minnesota Housing Partnership, advocating for affordable housing at the federal, state and regional levels. He also previously served as Executive Director of Common Cause Minnesota, where he led efforts to reform Minnesota’s redistricting process and increase government transparency.

We look forward to a thoughtful discussion.

Open to the public. Coffee and treats will be served. Please join us!
