Summer of Love Book Discussion

Pastor Kris is using the book, Love Is the Way: Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times, by Bishop Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in America, as a resource for our Summer of Love worship series. In it, Bishop Curry uses the prism of his faith, ancestry, and personal journey, to show how love is the way to address the seemingly insurmountable challenges facing the world today: poverty, racism, selfishness, deep ideological divisions, and competing claims to speak for God.

NHLC members (and friends!) are invited to pick up the book and gather monthly throughout the summer for lively discussion led by Pastor Kris. It’s a quick read—but packed with insight!

The first book discussion is Wednesday, June 23, 7:00-8:00 pm! Join us in the Courtyard at church. We’ll be looking at the Introduction and first three chapters. Future discussions will be held on July 28 and August 25.
