This Sunday we read of God’s promise that Abraham and Sarah would be both blessed and a blessing. But that blessing was long in coming, and the promise seemed forgotten—at least that’s what Abraham thought. But God cannot be blamed when we mis-hear or mis-remember God’s promises. The promise was fulfilled: to be both blessed and a blessing. This promise is given also to us. And God has not forgotten.
