Online Sunday Forum: Lenten Vocation Series, with Sarah Winter
March 21, 2021 / 11:00 am – 12:00 pm CDT
Join us on ZOOM for our series of Sunday Forums on topics of interest to our members and the broader community. During Lent we feature our own members talking about their vocations and the role that faith plays in their lives. This week we welcome Sarah Winter, for our final vocation forum of the season.
Sarah Winter is a long-time Nokomis Heights member, former NHLC youth director, and arts educator based in Boston, Massachusetts. With a background in museum administration, nonprofits, and arts education, Sarah is passionate about arts accessibility, storytelling, community building, and social justice. She is excited to share with the NHLC community how her faith has played a role in her vocational choices.
Sarah worked at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on in-gallery digital interactives and a collaborative project to create more equitable, inclusive practices and social action in museums. While on the West Coast, Sarah worked as the Community Engagement and Educational Programming Coordinator at the Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts, a nonprofit located in Eugene, Oregon focused on arts accessibility and environmental sustainability. She received her master’s degree in Art, Education + Community Practice from New York University, and holds a BA in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recently, in collaboration with NYU colleagues, she has developed an arts workshop in which participants explore personal lineages of whiteness and privilege.
Forum begins at 11:00 am and will wrap up around noon. We hope you will join us! Here is the ZOOM link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6128256846
