La Posada Celebration with St. Paul’s/San Pablo Lutheran Church

Nokomis Heights has been invited to participate in a Posada celebration at St. Paul’s/San Pablo Lutheran Church, 2742 15th Ave S, in the Phillips neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Traditionally, Las Posadas are a nine-day journey that leads directly to Christmas. Throughout nine days, participants journey with Mary and Joseph seeking shelter as they anticipate the birth of Jesus. During the week leading to Christmas Eve, different community members of San Pablo/St. Paul’s will host a Posada. We have been invited to the first of them! Please be at San Pablo/St. Paul’s by 5:15 pm on December 16 and dress warmly. The procession will go from the church through to a home in the neighborhood offering us shelter that evening. There will be music, food, and a piñata! All ages are welcome!
