In-Person Worship on the Lawn

Join us at 10:00 am outside on the church lawn, weather permitting, for in-person worship! Pastor Kristen Capel is launching our summer sermon series—”Summer of Love.” This week’s emphasis, “Unity in the Church,” focuses on the Bible text from 1 Corinthians 1:1-7. Special music will be provided by Nanna Campen and Annika Coyle, with Kim Bretheim on cello, and Laura Bretheim on violin.

Everyone is asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We will be social distancing by family, as much as our church yard will accommodate, and we have purchased a new portable sound system, so you should be able to hear everything, no matter how distanced we are! It’s supposed to be sunny and warm (okay, hot!), so dress accordingly! Masks are optional. You may choose to wear one, if you wish. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable. Remember, not everyone may be fully vaccinated, including children under 12.

You don’t need to sign up to attend, but we ask you to sign in when you arrive—we’ll have nametags so we can reacquaint ourselves after this long year apart! Worship will include congregational singing (everything will be printed in the bulletin) and Holy Communion (with Covid safety protocols in mind)—and we will be serving coffee and donuts after!
