Every other month service opportunity packing, sorting, and delivering bags of groceries to Community Emergency Service recipients at the Hiawatha Towers. All ages welcome. We meet at Community Emergency Service at 1900 11th Ave S, Minneapolis, to pack and weigh the bags of groceries, then load them into a truck to take to the Hiawatha Towers, just a few blocks away. Once at the Towers, volunteers help recipients carry the groceries to their apartments. When done, it’s back to CES to unload. Plan on about 2 hours of time. December volunteers are filled. The next scheduled grocery delivery is February 17.
