Adult Forum: Discoveries on a World Voyage, with Arne Stefferud

We’re happy to welcome to Forum this week Arne Stefferud, with a photo and video presentation on the religious and folk music he discovered as a sailing trainee on a 13-month around-the-world voyage on the Picton Castle, a 3-masted sailing ship.

Arne and his three sisters were raised on a small dairy farm run by his parents in a setting similar to Lake Wobegone, but without the lake. Growing up among German Catholics and Norwegian Lutherans, he learned the value of hard work and treating people with respect and kindness. Over his 69 years, he has been blessed with a good family, good friends, and opportunities to learn and serve others.
