Sunday Worship: Transfiguration
February 19, 2023 / 10:00 am – 11:00 am CST
It’s Transfiguration Sunday—the hinge between Epiphany and Lent. Join us for worship as we conclude our “Salt and Light” theme with a story of Jesus shining like the sun. As part of our Transfiguration Sunday tradition, we’ll also bury our Alleluias during worship. We’ll have communion too.
Pastor Steve Delzer is preaching this week on the story of Jesus’ transfiguration recorded in Matthew 17. In this passage the disciples are given a glimpse of Jesus’ full heavenly glory—and are left without words to explain what has happened. Like the disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration, we too can have experiences in life that touch us so deeply, they leave us speechless.
You’re invited to join us for worship at 10:00 am in the sanctuary. Mask wearing is optional within the church building, including during worship. You can mask or not mask, depending on your level of comfort, but please follow the latest CDC guidance if you recently have had COVID.
Not comfortable or unable to worship in person? Don’t worry! You’re invited to join us for worship online premiering at 10:00 am on Facebook and on our YouTube channel.
