Sunday Worship on the Lawn

Join us out front on the church lawn for worship this week, weather permitting, as we continue our Summer of Love worship series centered on Paul’s first letter to the church at Corinth. This Sunday’s theme, “Use Your Gifts for Love,” focuses on 1 Corinthians 12:15-31—we are all part of the body of Christ, with gifts of the Spirit to use for the good of all! Pastor Kristen Capel is preaching.

Leading music this week are Annika Coyle, violinist Laurie Stegner, and guest pianist David Langemo. Gregg Kelley is our lector, and Pastor Kris Capel has the children’s message.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We will be social distancing by family. Masks are optional—you may choose to wear one, if you wish. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable. Remember, not everyone may be fully vaccinated, including children under 12.

You don’t need to sign up to attend, but you will be asked to sign in when you arrive. This is for contact tracing in the case of a Covid outbreak, so we ask everyone attending to sign in. We’ll also have nametags so we can reacquaint ourselves after this long year apart! Worship will include congregational singing (everything will be printed in the bulletin), and we will be serving coffee and donuts after!
