Jar Sale, November 19
On November 19 the youth will once again hold their Annual Anything-in-a-Jar Sale to help fund events in 2018, including a trip to the National Youth Gathering in Houston this summer. Want to contribute? Empty jars will be available in the Courtyard to take home and fill with anything you can dream up that both fits in a jar and that some-one might want to buy. Return your filled jars to the church by November 18. For more information, please contact Amy at

Quilt Sale and Raffle, November 19
The annual quilt sale follows worship on Sunday, November 19! Don’t need a quilt? Sponsor one for a local charity! In addition to the items for sale, we are raffling off the quilt on display in the Courtyard. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and may be purchased after worship on Sundays through November 19. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Quilt Sale. You need not be present to win. Proceeds from the raffle and sale will help the Quilters continue to make baptismal quilts and blankets for those who need them!

Thanksgiving Eve Service, November 22
A service of thanksgiving for God’s bounty to us will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 22. Join us as we give thanks to God for the goodness of our life in Christ and get a head start on our Thanksgiving feasts, with delicious pie following the service. Please let the office know if you can bring a pie to share. This year all offerings from the Thanksgiving Eve worship will go to Lutheran Disaster Response to aid victims of this year’s devastating hurricanes and wildfires. Please give generously!

Thanksgiving Offerings to Go to Lutheran Disaster Response
Feeling overwhelmed by the news and pictures
coming from hurricane- and wildfire-ravaged
areas? Give to Lutheran Disaster Response! The road to recovery will be long, and Lutheran Disaster Response will be there through every phase. Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those left homeless or otherwise affected by these disasters for years to come. Gifts will be used entirely (100 percent) for these disasters until the response is complete.
At the October Council Meeting, it was decided to earmark the Thanksgiving Eve offering for Lutheran Disaster Response. All moneys collected at worship that evening will go to help hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Texas, and
Florida, and to help those affected by wildfires in California. Won’t be at worship on Thanksgiving Eve? You can still give by sending the church a check made out to Nokomis Heights (mark “Disas-ter Response” in the memo line). We’ll make sure it gets to those who need it!
