Blessing of the Bikes, May 26
We’re celebrating the goodness of creation with a blessing of the bikes at the conclusion of worship on May 26. Bike, walk, scooter, wagon, carpool, or bus to worship, weather permitting, and join us in a blessing prayer for a safe season of tending God’s creation and lowering our carbon footprint.

Wapo Pancake Extravaganza, May 27
Camp Wapo in Amery, Wisconsin, will hold its annual Memorial Day Pancake Extravaganza, tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the camp. No reservations needed—all are welcome! Enjoy buttermilk, oven, Finnish, and “Cooks choice” pancakes. Load up with toppings, real maple syrup, sausage, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, and beverages. A freewill donation will benefit summer camperships.

Funeral for Kathryn (KC) Hannon
Our prayers go out to the family of Kathryn Hannon, who died . KC’s funeral will take place Thursday, May 30, at Nokomis Heights. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:00. A reception will follow.

Confirmation End-of-Year Celebration, June 5
Confirmation wraps up for the year on Wednesday, June 5. All confirmation students are invited to meet at church at 6:30 p.m. for our annual “walk to DQ” celebration. After DQ, at 7:30 p.m., we will have rehearsal for those being confirmed on Sunday, June 9.

Ice Cream on the Corner, June 7
Friday, June 7, is the last day of school for lots of kids in our neighborhood, and Nokomis Heights is launching summer with free ice cream on the corner from 2:00 to 2:30. Spread the word—and stop by on your way home from school for a sweet treat!

Summer Schedule Begins May 26
Beginning Sunday, May 26, we change to our summer worship schedule. Join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. There are no regularly scheduled Sunday Forums or Sunday school classes in the summer months. Forum and Sunday school will resume after Labor Day.

VBS Is Popping Up Again This Summer!
Mark your calendars and invite your friends to Pop-Up VBS at Nokomis Heights this summer. Join us Sunday, June 23, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. out front on the lawn! We’ll have drama and stories, crafts and games galore, plus a really cool service project. The event is for entire families and will include a picnic supper. Can you volunteer to help?
