Midweek Lenten Worships Begin February 21
Join us for the midweek worships of Lent as we work our way through the book, "Gifts of the Dark Wood," by Eric Elnes. The author is pastor at Countryside Community Church (UCC) in Omaha, NE, and has his doctorate from Princeton University. The book was born of his experiences, both personal and pastoral, wrestling with tough times in the parish and with tough passages in scripture. He writes about things we traditionally have considered challenges to faith through a lens of hope, encouragement, and honesty.

Order a copy through your favorite online retailer, or pick up one of the limited number available at church and join us for our 40-day journey. Worship will include excerpts from the book alongside scripture readings each week, and will be accessible to those who have not had time to read, as well as those who drop in for some or all of the weeks. Our liturgical setting for Lenten worship will be the evening prayer from David Cherwien's "Stay with Us, Lord."

Come for our weekly Lenten soup suppers at 6:00 p.m. and stay for worship at 7:00 (Posted: 02/08/2018)
