Mapping Prejudice Part 2: Building the Map, June 30
Fight against Racial Injustice—by Bringing Your Laptop to Church! On Sunday, June 30, Marguerite Mills from the Mapping Prejudice Project at the University of Minnesota will lead a follow-up to our Mapping Prejudice Community Forum held in February. This time we will examine the actual historic property deeds from our neighborhood and will be documenting and working to undo the legacy of racial covenants in housing in Minneapolis. Did you miss the presentation in February? Get acquainted with the project by viewing the Twin Cities Public Television documentary Jim Crow of the North. You can find it online at or on YouTube. A light lunch will be served after church, and research will happen from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Plan to come and invite your friends. Contact Johan Christopherson or the church office if you have any questions.
